TraCal Lab Receives Veteran Institute for Procurement Aerospace Certification
The VIP Aerospace Program provided valuable training to better position NSCA & Tra–Cal Lab in the federal contracting market.
Gaithersburg, MD, June 30, 2021; NSCA Technologies and Tra-Cal Lab is one of 43 businesses from 18 states plus D.C. to graduate from the inaugural Veteran Institute Procurement (VIP)’s AEROSPACE Program, a comprehensive training program designed to accelerate the success of service-disabled and veteran-owned small businesses in the federal aerospace market. This is the second VIP GROW program that NSCA & Tra-Cal has completed.
“To our knowledge, this program is the first of its kind in the country. We look forward to providing practical knowledge and tools to help veteran leaders improve their ability to win and manage federal contracts in this very competitive market,” said Barbara Ashe, the national director for VIP.
“We are tremendously grateful for the support from Lockheed Martin Corp., which helps ensure that the VIP AEROSPACE program is available at no cost to veterans. ”VIP AEROSPACE is a 27-hour comprehensive certification program designed specifically for SDVOSB and VOSB leaders. Topics are taught by Government and Industry experts and include contracting acquisition, strategic planning, supply chain management, capture management, marketing, operations and program controls, and much more. In this inaugural class, participating businesses have been operating an average of 13 years.
VIP AEROSPACE is the fourth VIP government contracting program offered by the National Veteran Institute for Procurement (VIP). Over 1,700 companies from all 50 states, D.C., Puerto Rico and Guam have participated in the VIP programs, including 30 named to the INC. 2020 Inc. 5000.
